We followed up a morning trip to the zoo with a visit to Colin's school for family music class today. Music class was at 2:00, right in the heart of nap time. I was hoping that some zoo walking would tire the girls out for an early nap. That didn't work and unfortunately a late nap didn't work out either. Even without rest, I think everyone had fun. We sang a few songs that Colin's class has been learning, did some circle dancing, and even got to bang on some drums. By the end of the class, Julia got off my lap and went to sit next to Colin's music teacher, Ms. Laurie. Then after class, all three kids gave her a hug, and even a little cheek kiss from Colin.
Miss Laurie is the lucky lady and you are the best good dad. Sometimes missing the naps works if the fun is happy.
