We ventured out this morning after the rain to one of the local metro parks for a preschool education session. We learned about goldenrods and some of the bugs that live in their stems and the birds that eat the bugs. We had to take a nice wooded walk from the parking lot to the education pavilion. There were lots of great puddles along the way and Julia found most of them. The kids had fun listening to stories and doing some related activities like pecking at some flowers with woodpeckers and making their own story scenes. We even had a little time to walk around and play at the water wheel.

What a great experience for the kids. I love the girls' art projects.
