First Sick Day

Last year, we made it to March before having a sick day from school.  This year, the first one came a little sooner.  Julia woke last night complaining of a sore throat.  She took some medicine and was quickly back to sleep.  She seemed a little sick this morning.  During her oatmeal, I asked if she wanted to go to school or stay home with me and she said stay home (in a teary eyed voice).

So we took Caroline to school today.  Caroline told Julia on the way to school that she would make some pictures for her today.  Julia got a little teary eyed again  at school when her teacher gave her some coloring pages to take home.

Since we've been home, Julia seems like her normal self.  She's been having fun doing some fireside coloring.





And then I put her to work (actually she asked to help, and did a great job I should add).



I'm sure the throat is a little tender, but hopefully it's nothing that will keep her home multiple days.
