First Week of Summer Vacation

The first week of summer vacation for Colin was pretty eventful, yet uneventful.

Monday Julia and Caroline had their three year checkup and all was good.

Tuesday we got a hairdresser set for Caroline with some birthday money, to reduce the hair dryer tension between the girls ever since Julia got a hair dresser dress up set for her birthday.  We also played a little basketball and tennis at the park.

Wednesday was filled with more boring errands.  This time the post office and Walmart.  But in the evening, we enjoyed our first fire on the new patio (with s'mores of course).

Yesterday was house cleaning, lawn mowing, and the grocery.  We also are trying Tuesday and Thursday night family jogs (bike ride for Colin, stroller ride for the girls).  Our turnaround has some outdoor exercise equipment that everyone uses to build a little muscle.  Hopefully we can keep it up all summer.

Today we went to Lowes for a few items, including a dryer vent brush.  Colin and I vacuumed two shop vacs of lint from the vent ducts.  Apparently there are lots of arts and crafts we could use it for, but I think ours will just end up in the trash.

The kids also mixed in lots of playing throughout the week.  A slow, but productive start to the summer.
