A New Pet

I thought we would never have a new pet again. In fact, sometimes we look forward to the days when we won't have to worry about Minnie puking on the bed or getting someone to watch her while we are out of town. But on Thursday last week, Julia brought home a new pet from school. Luckily scooter will only be staying with us for a couple more days.

I never thought that a squirrel would make a good house pet, but with this little guy, you hardly even notice he's around. Plus it's nice for chippy to have a playmate. He's also a great traveler. He's been to the grocery store, Colin's basketball game, and he even went out to dinner with us.

I think Julia and Caroline will be sad to see him go, but he'll be back for one more week at the Okrzesik house sometime soon.
