Obstacle Course and Natural Playground

We've made several trips to new playgrounds this summer. It started with a trip to Glacier Ridge Park. I was running through one day and noticed a cool looking playground. So the kids and I went to check it out earlier this summer. It was very neat, and smelled very good too. It was all made from cedar. I didn't think wood playgrounds were allowed anymore. Hope nobody gets a splinter.

Next to the playground is an obstacle course with balancing obstacles, a big net climb, rope climb and other challenging things. We went back one evening with Maggie and ran through the obstacles. The kids wanted to go back again this past weekend. It has been a family favorite this summer.

Today we discovered a new nature play area at Blendon Woods Park. It was really cool too. Everything appears built from fallen trees. The kids enjoyed checking things out and hiking to a creek for some exploring and rock skipping. But the highlight was the zipline.

  1. I just saw your post, looks like a pretty neat Park. Now that the kids are back in school I'm sure they'll miss it.
