Today we ventured to Xenia Ohio to visit C R Muterspaw Lumber. I ordered about 100 board feet of hard maple that will hopefully become a dining room table over the next few weeks. It was a pleasant drive of a little over an hour through windy county roads.
We got everything loaded up and set course for Chick-fil-A. The kids had been reading and listening to music on the way there. They asked if they could use their tablets to play games on the way back. I said that would be ok.
Chick-fil-A was 25 minutes away. About 15 minutes into that drive Julia said she was sweaty and her tummy hurt a bit. I suspected a case of car sickness. She stopped using her tablet and felt almost normal by the time we arrived at the restaurant.
We headed in to use the bathroom and wash hands. As soon as we walked down the hall towards the bathroom, Caroline said that her tummy hurt. And she looked BAD, very pale. After some near throwups and a rest of 10 minutes or so. We finally ordered for Julia and Colin. Caroline got an applesauce and I had a diet coke. Caroline seemed to perk up a bit during lunch and after lunch she started to get her color back.
I decided to get some Dramamine for the trip home, even though it was mostly interstate the rest of the way. I also outlawed tablets for the remainder of the trip. The medicine came with a strict warning of drowsiness. It seemed to be true (safety note: this picture was snapped at a red light in Dublin). Notice the Chick-fil-A barf bags.

Barf bags to prevent muterspaw on the muterspaw! This post is great and you WILL make a most lovely table. The girls got DRAMAMINED. :-)
