B is for Bird

Yesterday Colin told us that he needed to learn to write his alphabet better.  Because when he made our Christmas card at school, he had to trace dotted lines to make the letters.  This was in response to asking him if he was ready to go to kindergarten next year.  We have to make that decision sometime soon and wanted his opinion too.

As a result, we decided to institute a new policy of completing a letter page before any screen time each day.  Yesterday was A and went ok.  Today was B and took a little more time and nagging.  I think Colin was waiting to see who would give in first, him or me.  After about an hour and a half, I'm happy to say Colin completed tracing and writing about 25 each upper and lower case B's.  And Colin is happy to say that he gets to play Angry Birds now, a game he just discovered while waiting for our table at Red Robin (I just now see the irony) on Saturday night.
