While reading this book nightly, we had a bad feeling that Julia might be red/green color blind, or at least color challenged. She would constantly say green when pointing to the red dot. Finally a couple of nights ago, she nailed it. She was quite proud and said "I didn't say green!" when she finished naming the dot colors. The following page has a similar arrangement of dots and the girls once again named the colors and Julia nailed it again. This time, Caroline did the bragging for Julia. She turned to look at us and said "Jewa say red!"
Hopefully she has her reds and greens straight now. Or at a minimum, she has the pattern memorized.
Yea for Jewa, that beautiful girl. Pop gave me the story this morning of this red/green event as I hadn't yet seen the blog. I well remember the book and have read it with Colin. Isn't it the best when you witness not only their accomplishments and successes, but as well, their own delight in same?
