This morning we made a trip to the zoo. The first thing we did was ride the dinosaur island ride. The girls were only slightly terrified by the robotic dinosaurs, but enjoyed most of the boat ride nonetheless. Julia had to ride next to one of the worker girls. The rule is if you are under 42" you must sit next to an adult, with one adult per child. Next we saw some monkeys and orangutans. Then we headed to Australia and met a kangaroo named Caroline.
After all the animals, the kids enjoyed some play time at the bug playground. Julia and Caroline tried to climb in the big kids play area with Colin. They both needed help up and down from big brother. And there was one moment of panic from Julia when she thought she might be stranded forever, but Colin eventually came to the rescue.
