Colin completed his first week of pre-K. It was a short week with Labor Day and a shortened first day. I was a little worried how he would adjust back to school. He said several times in the days leading up to the start that he did not want to go to school. I knew that would change once he started but thought it might take a little while. But after the first day, he was anxious to go back.
Last night, I told him that today is Friday and the last day of school for the week. He was disappointed and wanted to go on Saturday he said. This afternoon while walking out of school he told me that he only has to sleep three times before he gets to go back school. I'm taking those as good signs that he has adjusted already.
The girls are adjusting ok so far. Everyday after we take Colin to school, I hear "where's my Colin?" A few times from them, but no serious angst. They have napped pretty well, especially the past two days. Unfortunately I've had to wake them to go pick Colin up each day. Next week we start some carpooling, so I'll only have to pick Colin up two of the five days. That will help. They like to go to his school and see the class pet goldfish "Goldie".
Here he is working on a little homework and enjoying an after school snack.
