What Kind of Swinger Are You?

There are many forms of swinging in our backyard. It seems a new method is introduced weekly by one of our three (or Rachel).  Some examples:

The underdog - Simply run underneath a swinger while pushing him or her forward. This is Colin's preferred method of starting for normal pump yourself swinging.

The super push - Pull the baby swing forward as high as you can, then let it go.

The turbo tummy - Swing on your stomach and have an adult pull you by hands or feet and let you go.  Turbo Tummy demonstrated here.


The tiny super push - Just like a turbo tummy with hand pull, but for a little girl.

The monkey swing - A hang and swing on the rings. Demonstrated here by Caroline and Julia.







The super sonic twist - You twist your swing chains and then ask an adult to give you a push. Resulting in a swinging, spinning twist. Demonstrated here by Colin.



The freestyle - Simply hang and swing and ask mom or dad to watch this trick. Julia shows one of her's here.
