Hit and Miss

Nap time has been very hit and miss for a while now.  And you might say that Julia's batting average is higher than Caroline's.  Today was a hit for Julia, but another miss for Caroline.  Since they are still in cribs, it's not too big of a deal.  I put them in their room around 1:00 and most days they are happy to stay up there for at least an hour and a half, even if they don't fall asleep.  So I still get my down time, to clean, fold laundry, or occasionally even work out.  I'm not looking forward to trying naps in a bed when I envision my dad time coming to an end.  

On the days that they don't fall asleep, I hear lots of playing.  Sometimes it's hide and seek, not sure how that works exactly.  There is also some singing.  And of course playing with stuffed animals.  Caroline likes to yell "wake up Julia", if she does not approve of Julia's napping. Sometimes Julia pretends to sleep just to hear Caroline say it, only to respond with a loud "BOO!" of her own.

While Julia naps today and I'm sitting on the steps waiting for Colin to be dropped off, Caroline is playing one of their favorite things, aptly titled " farmer, house, airport".

I think Julia might be upset that she missed it.  She was talking about playing it on the way up to nap.
