I'm Sorry

Colin wrote his first letter of apology today.  So far it has only been thank you notes and the occasional "how are you doing" letter.  During the morning snow play, there was a moment of snowball throwing that I only heard about after Colin came in.  Apparently Colin threw an errant snowball in the face of Rachel, followed by more snowballs from Colin while Rachel was still recovering from the one in the face.  When I asked him if he said sorry, he said that he did not.  He also said it was not his fault, it was his arm's and aim's fault.  So for not saying sorry, as well as yelling at his Dad about the whole situation, his punishment was to write a letter apologizing to Rachel before he could go back out to play this afternoon.  It was very direct and to the point.

"I am sorry for hitting you in your face with a snowball.  Your friend, Colin"

They are currently outside playing together again.  So I guess the apology was accepted.
