Operation Backpack

Colin got his allowance yesterday and counted the money in his "donate" envelope.  He had accumulated $8.00.  He was trying to figure out what cause to donate to and I suggested a back to school drive.  He was all in for that.

The Volunteers of America hold an annual backpack drive called Operation Backpack with drop off stations at the library.  So we headed to Target with Colin's $8.00 and my credit card to fill a new backpack with school supplies. The kids all enjoyed picking things out to donate and hopefully understand some of the reason why we do things like this.
