Dance Camp

Last week Julia and Caroline attended Elsa and Anna Dance Camp. They loved it. It was really princess themed, not just Elsa and Anna. The camp was two hours each day, which included dance, crafts, and snack. Every day was focused on a different princess or princesses. One day was Frozen. One day was Cinderella and Snow White. Wednesday was for the water princesses (Arial and Moana). The big capstone experience was a performance on the last day for parents. Maggie was able to join us. I was pretty surprised at how much the dance instructors could teach a group of 4 and 5 year olds in less then 8 hours.

While the girls were at camp each day, Colin and I had some time to do some fun activities too. On Tuesday we went to the driving range. It was Colin's first time swinging a club and the first time I had since moving to Ohio. We both had some struggles and duffed a few balls, but we also both had a few nice swings.

Wednesday we cut up a hot dog, grabbed our fishing poles, and headed down the block to fish one of the ponds nearby. It was a little slow at first. I caught the first 3 of 4 fish and Colin was getting a little disappointed at his lack of bites. But his luck turned around and he started having more fun. When it was finally time to leave we were both pretty even with about 6 or 7 fish each.

So dance camp worked out well. The girls had fun and it was fun for Colin and I to spend some time doing activities that are not possible with all three kids. Julia and Caroline are already talking about taking Pop Dance camp next summer.

Great that Colin and Daddy got some "guy" time while the ballerinas were busy .
